It’s not just the parts that make B&S Aircraft successful, it’s the people. Meet a few of the fine people who lead our company.
Dick Lewallen – Vice President
Dick was recently appointed Vice President of B&S after serving as the Controller for the company since 2000. Dick’s business acumen and corporate development processes allow B&S to operate independently while complying with the Ametek MRO Group policy of growth and viability. Dick is an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys lowering his golf handicap.

Mike James – Director; Operations
Mike joined B&S Aircraft in 1987 following a career at Cessna where he served in many capacities in training, engineering and support. Mike has a wealth of aviation knowledge that is applied in every workstation at B&S, and is the ‘go to guy’ when it comes to warranty, technical and part number applications. He enjoys working on his farm and spending time with his family – he even has an identical twin brother.

David Copeland – Business Development
David joined B&S with 30 years of aviation industry experience under his belt. As a native of Wichita and an active ATP rated pilot, he’s able to apply his real-time flying to the market and the depth of the B&S customer base. David enjoys coaching in his spare time, as well as living the aviation legacy that his mother and father started.
“I enjoy the passion shared by everyone at B&S in every department. Working in that environment inspires me to set B&S on a course for 45 more successful years.”
Carmella Vance - Customer Account Specialist
Carmella joined B&S Aircraft in May of 2008 following her entrance into the aviation industry with Airbus and Airco in Wichita. Carmella enjoys spending time with her family, digital scrapbooking and reading.
“I take great pride in providing my customers efficient service on a global basis as I work with customers in just about every time zone.”
Randy Stuhlsatz - Customer Account Specialist
Randy joined B&S as a mechanic in 2001 after spending five years at another local repair facility. Randy gained experience in the shop with Starter Generators, De Ice Valves and Boost Pumps. Outside of work, his passion involves supporting numerous cultural community events.

Vernon Almond - Customer Account Specialist
Vernon joined B&S in July of 2004 after working at AvData and Century Instruments in Wichita. His knowledge of the aviation industry ranges from experimental applications to business jets. In his spare time, Vernon is a talented magician who has amassed a wide range of tricks and effects based on legends from the field.
“I appreciate what I do on a local level as I fly my RC Models and apply the importance of accurate control associated with every flight.”
