B & S Aircraft Sending a Big Thank You to the Troops.
Public Invited to Sign Giant Card at Sun n’ Fun.
B & S Aircraft, a leading Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) company, is giving a big “Thank You” at the upcoming 36th annual Sun n’ Fun air show in Lakeland, FL, April 13 -18. A veteran exhibitor for the last 20 years, the Wichita, Kansas-based company is turning its typical sales booth space into a giant 10’x 10’ thank you card for the American Military Troops.
“These brave men and women of the military who have put their lives on the line for this country can’t be thanked enough,” says Dave Copeland, Manager of Program Development for the company that refurbishes and sells aircraft parts across the world. “It’s our 45th anniversary as an American company, so we thought this would be the perfect celebration - to have everyone at the show say thank you in a very accessible way.”
Among the hundreds of trade show exhibitors at event, the B & S booth will be open to everyone to sign their name and write a special message on the super-sized card. “We’ll have plenty of felt tip pens,” noted Copeland, “so we hope thousands will drop by our booth and send their message of appreciation to the military.”
The company hopes to generate over 10,000 signatures on the card that pays homage to DefendingFreedom.org, a Nevada Benefits Foundation dedicated to military charities worldwide. It was created to support the honorable service men and women willing to sacrifice everything for the ultimate price of freedom.
The organization is well known for their fund raising efforts by selling “Defending Freedom” wrist bands. In honor of their anniversary, B & S will give out free “Defending Freedom” wristbands and make a donation to the cause for each name signed.
At the end of the show, the Big Thank You will be sent to the men and women of MacDill Air Force Base, based in MacDill, FL. The host unit at MacDill AFB is the 6th Air Mobility Wing (6 AMW), assigned to the Air Mobility Command’s 21st Expeditionary Mobility Task Force. The 6th AMW provides day-to-day mission support to more than 3,000 personnel along with more than 50 Mission Partners, including the United States Central Command and United States Special Operations Command. It is a force capable of rapidly projecting air refueling power anywhere in the world.
